Sight Words

In general, many languages have different types of letters, and the number of sounds that these letters make varies. Thus, each letter makes a unique sound. However, this is not the case in English, there are 26 letters in English, but there are no 26 sounds. There are more than 40 sounds in English. While there are so many sound combinations, words and sentences have been taught as a whole for many years without any phonetic knowledge. This is still a used method and is also referred to in the literature by names such as the Whole Language / Look and Say / Dolch Words / Sight Reading.
